Lil Wayne Goes to Jail today, Well, he had his “farwell” party last night at the Dolce Club on South Beach but today rapper Lil’ Wayne has got to do some hard time.
Nah, it won’t be too 
hard, I mean, jail is not exactly the best place in the world but Wayne’s a celebrity, and retired NYPD detective Derrick Parker tried to paint a picture of Weezy’s upcoming life behind bars.
Parker told MTV News that while officials would try to maintain some semblance of normalcy in the intended Rikers Island facility, Wayne would be treated differently from the average prisoner.
“Lil Wayne is gonna be OK,” Parker told MTV News. “While he’s in jail, it’s a matter of fact they may not put him with the general population because of who he is and his popularity. They might lock him down and let him come out with a supervisor and stuff like that [when he's] in the main area – but he’s definitely going to be treated differently.”
Today Wanye begins a year-long sentence for gun possession but told Rolling Stone that his prison time is God’s will for him and everything happens for a reason.
“I look at things as ‘Everything is meant to be.’ I know it’s an experience that I need to have if God’s putting me through it,” the rapper said.
Lil’ Wayne has an interesting perspective and I’m curious to see what kind of person he’ll be when he gets out. Jail gives you time to think and he’s already a “thinker.”
Hopefully the experience and outcome will be a positive one and make him a better person.
