Lightweights Paul Taylor (10-5 MMA, 3-4 UFC) and Sam Stout (15-6-1 MMA, 4-5 UFC) have been penciled in for UFC 121.

Multiple sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that both fighters have agreed to the contest and are expected to sign bout agreements shortly.

UFC 121 is targeted for Oct. 23 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, though the venue and date have not yet been confirmed by the promotion.

The position of Taylor vs. Stout on the as-yet-unannounced card is unknown at this time.

It’s Taylor’s first bout since a migraine headache forced him to withdraw from UFC 112 with just hours till curtain time. The British fighter was due to face John Gunderson on the event’s preliminary card.

Upon his return to the U.K., the fighter received a full medical checkup and was thought to be in the clear for a fight against Gunderson at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale, but doctors ordered him to rest longer as a precaution, and he was replaced by newcomer Mark Holst.

Taylor most recently dropped a unanimous decision to John Hathaway at UFC 105 in November. With four losses in his past six fights, Taylor is likely a must-win situation when he meets Stout.

Residents of Prestige Point reported seeing a cloud of smoke coming out of a vacant apartment in the lower floors of the three storey building. It was then that the fire officials were summoned to the spot, quickly putting off the fire which was seen blazing out of a bathtub in the abandoned apartment of Prestige Point.

According to the statements made by the officials, the vacant apartment was not locked at the time when they arrived at the spot of the accident. Residents of Prestige Point confirmed that the particular apartment remains open as it is used as a storeroom.

The body of a young female was recovered early Friday from the Delaware River near where a 250-foot barge collided with a stalled amphibious sightseeing boat, throwing 37 people into the water.

Coast Guard Petty Officer Crystal Kneen said authorities could not immediately say whether the recovered body was that of 16-year-old Dora Schwentner, one of two Hungarian tourists missing since Wednesday’s collision. A 20-year-old man, Szabolcs Prem, is also missing.

The body was recovered around 4:45 a.m. near the Walt Whitman Bridge by members of the Philadelphia Fire Department, Kneen said. The bridge is down the river from the site of the collision.

Police said the body was that of young female and was first spotted by a fishing boat. Officer Christine O’Brien said police did not have any further information about the age of the body. read more
