Demo staged against gang rape of woman
LAHORE: The residents of Islam Pura locality in Lahore staged demonstration in protest against a police constable who allegedly committed rape of a woman with his three accomplices, Geo news reported.
Meanwhile, the victimized woman has threatened of committing suicide along with her two children over non-delivery of justice.
The demonstration was staged outside Lahore press club where the agitators were holding placards and banners with slogans written on them against police.
The women, namely Aasia Bibi, claimed that a police constable of Sanda police station called her in police station and subsequently, took her to a closely located house where he raped her along with his three associates.
Police have lodged FIR against accused police constable and his associates but none of them have been arrested so far, she told media
She also complained of receiving threats from accused policemen.
